This is a colored version of one of my characters from my superhero group Montage. An early version of the group can be seen here.
[link] The idea for this character came as a result of an X-Factor story, where they went to a planet where everyone was a mutant. A lot of those mutants were physically different and I wanted to come up with one of my own, but something that hadn't already been done a thousand times before.
She isn't actually a "mutant" in the Marvel sense. She was genetically altered against her will. She started life as a Japanese American, a little petite but not excessively so. Now she stands just four feet tall, with her wings topping out at just around six feet and she is covered in short white fur.
Her powers are sonic based, but not the blast you with sound like every other sonic based character I've ever seen. Her powers are more subtle than that. She uses various sound frequencies to alter mood and make subjects more susceptible to suggestion.
As with other pictures on my account this was not drawn by me, although I did add the color. This is another picture drawn for me by Richard Konkle way back in 1997.
