Cutting GlassA week ago I accidentally broke a pane of glass in the door to my carport. The window in the door is a "jealousy window" made of a series of small panes that you open with a crank. Luckily, I had an extra pane that I could cut to fit. So today I got out my glass cutting tool. Really, it doesn’t cut the glass as much as score it so it breaks where you want it to. I was very careful, as this was the last replacement pane I had and I don’t think they make these anymore. This particular tower was one of several that separated the wilds of Antonica from the peaceful farmlands that led up to the shining glory of Qeynos. The night was dark. There was no moon to compete with the stars as they twinkled down on the serpentine dirt path that wound its way between trees and hills. To the side of the path shone a flickering light…a camp fire ringed in stones. Near the fire stood a small traveler’s tent: surely too small for the hulking figure kneeling next to it. Back just before Mass Effect 3 was released Adam Withers [link] created this fantastic group shot of all the Mass Effect crew members from both 1 & 2. He then went a step farther and offered to draw people's custom Shepard and have them stand next to whom ever they decided survived Virmire.

As I was very excited about the upcoming ME3 and had a bit of extra money, I jumped on this. So this is my custom Kira Shepard, that I write about, with her beau Kaidan Alenko and of course the rest of the crew.

Adam Wither is one half of the husband wife artist team I met in the Michigan Comic Con a few years ago...I love their art work, bought some while I was there and follow both him and his wife (ComfortLove [link]).

I do follow both of them and she says they go to Megacon in Orlando every year. I would love to go sometime soon. This year it is March 15 - 17 and hey they got Patrick Stewart coming.
